„From human history to the future with spatial information“
PRAGUE,
Czech Republic
12th July – 19th July 2016

The 2016 Congress of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the 23rd Congress to be held since the foundation of the Society in 1910, will be held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The Congress, awarded to the Czech Republic in an election at the 2012 ISPRS General Assembly in Melbourne, is organized once every four years and brings together thousands of specialists in photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information science from around the world. The diverse application of spatial information in, for example, location-based services, web-based virtual globes and mobile phone technology have heightened public awareness of the products produced by our geospatial community in recent years. The Congress may therefore be regarded not only as a platform for our science and technological research, but also for cooperation with other specialists who utilise our tools, data, processing techniques, models and visualizations. Such cooperation has brought about new advances and opened doors not even imaginable a few short years ago. The Congress will be a place to present our achievements, develop novel ideas, connect with colleagues, and to meet new friends.

The latest technology and services will be demonstrated in the exhibit hall and an exciting social programme will provide opportunities for networking at a variety of world class venues in Prague and the surrounding area. The Congress organizers will be delighted if all of this is achieved as a result of your participation in the event.
