Zum Auftakt der diesjährigen Dreiländer-Tagung der deutschen DGPF, schweizer SGPF und öterreichischen OVG in Muttenz fand am 03. Juni 2025 das dritte Forum des Nachwuchsnetzwerks statt. Mit über 60 Teilnehmern konnte an den Erfolgen der Vorjahre in München und Remagen angeknüpft werden.
Am Vorabend, den 02. Juni 2025, konnte bei einer entspannten Atmosphäre in der Markthalle in Basel sich gesammelt und kennengelernt werden. Bei einer großen Vielfalt an Essensauswahl und Getränken sowie finanziellen Wünschen wurde das Eis schnell gebrochen und der Abend lang.
Eröffnet wurde das Forum mit einer Keynote Dr. Hannes Eugster (iNovitas) und Sandra Beckmann (bsf swissphoto). Beide begeisternten das junge Publkum mit den täglichen Chancen und Herausforderungen als Geodät in den Bereichen Mobile Mapping und flugzeuggetragene Photogrammetrie. Die Präsentationen wurde mit spannenden Fragen und Diskussionen abgeschlossen.
Anschließend wurde durch eine Postersession jungen Forschenden eine Plattform geboten, ihre wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten zu präsentieren. Dieses Angebot wurde sehr gut angenommen und bot eine Grundlage für weiteren Austausch. Es wurde nicht nur fachlisch diskusstiert, sondern auch neue Ideen für offline und online Events gesammelt und schweizer sowie österreicher für das Nachwuchs-Netzwerk begeistert.
Im Anschluss an die Postersession wurde das beste Poster durch alle Anwesenden gewählt und mit einer einjährigen DGPF-Mitgliedschaft belohnt. Die Auszeichnungen erhielte Yannick Treitz (TU Darmstadt) für sein Poster über „Individual Tree Crown Segmentation with Hyperspectral Data, Dimensionality Reduction and Segment Aniything Model“.

Termin und Ablauf
- Get-Together: Am 2. Juni 2025 findet ab 17 Uhr ein informelles Get-Together statt, das Raum für Networking in entspannter Atmosphäre bietet. Ein Grundstock an Getränken wird zur Verfügung gestellt, jedoch wird gebeten, eigene Getränke und Essen mitzubringen.
- Forum: Am Vormittag des 3. Juni 2025, ab 8:30 Uhr, startet das dritte Forum des Nachwuchs-Netzwerks. Nach zwei Keynotes zu fachlich relevanten Themen haben Teilnehmende die Möglichkeit, wissenschaftliche Arbeiten wie Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten oder andere Projekte in einer Postersession zu präsentieren. Nach der Preisverleihung endet das Forum um 12 Uhr.

Da es regnet, treffen wir uns in der Markthalle (https://altemarkthalle.ch/), welches in der Nähe des Bahnhof Basel SBB liegt. Wir werden uns innerhalb der Markthalle im 1. OG im "Wohnzimmer / HausBAR" befinden.

Anreise Hinweise: Der Campus ist aus der Stadt Basel am besten via S-Bahn (Haltestelle: Muttenz Bahnhof + 5 min Gehzeit) erreichbar. Zusätzlich verfügt der FHNW Campus Muttenz über eine eigene Bushaltestelle (Haltestelle: Muttenz, Fachhochschule). Die Verbindungen finden Sie im Online-Fahrplan der SBB (https://www.sbb.ch/de).

Die Anmeldung erfolgt in zwei Schritten:
(1) Zuerst als Nutzer im Conftool anmelden und
(2) im zweiten Schritt erfolgt die Registrierung zum Event.
Wählbar ist das Nachwuchs-Netzerk (Forum), oder Tagung + Forum.
Posterpräsentation und Preise
Beiträge zur Postersession für das Forum können nach der ConfTool-Anmeldung bis zum 1. April 2025 über das ConfTool eingereicht werden. Das Poster wird in A0 Portrait aufbereitet und als Dokument (.jpg | .jpeg | .png | .pdf ) hochgeladen. Bitte das Poster ausgedruckt in A0 Format im Juni mitbringen.
Das beste Poster wird mit einer einjährigen kostenfreien Mitgliedschaft bei wahlweise DGPF, OVG oder SGPF sowie einer nachhaltigen Edelstahlflasche ausgezeichnet.

DGPF Young Network - Forum
for the Three-Country Conference in Muttenz

The third forum of the Young Scientists Network will take place as part of the Three-Country Conference 2025. The event is aimed at students, doctoral candidates, and anyone interested, offering a platform for professional exchange.

To kick off this year's three-country conference of the German DGPF, Swiss SGPF and Austrian OVG in Muttenz, the third forum of the young talent network took place on 3 June 2025. With over 60 participants, the success of the previous years in Munich and Remagen could be continued.
The evening before, on 2 June 2025, there was a relaxed atmosphere at the Markthalle in Basel, where participants were able to meet and get to know each other. The ice was quickly broken and the evening lasted a long time with a wide variety of food, drinks and financial wishes.
The forum opened with a keynote speech by Dr Hannes Eugster (iNovitas) and Sandra Beckmann (bsf swissphoto). Both inspired the young audience with the daily opportunities and challenges as a geodesist in the fields of mobile mapping and airborne photogrammetry. The presentations were concluded with exciting questions and discussions.
Afterwards, a poster session offered young researchers a platform to present their scientific work. This offer was very well received and provided a basis for further dialogue. There was not only technical discussion, but also new ideas for offline and online events were collected and Swiss and Austrian researchers were inspired to join the young researchers network.
Following the poster session, the best poster was voted for by all attendees and rewarded with a one-year DGPF membership. The award went to Yannick Treitz (TU Darmstadt) for his poster on ‘Individual Tree Crown Segmentation with Hyperspectral Data, Dimensionality Reduction and Segment Aniything Model’.

Date and Schedule
- Get-Together: On the evening of 2nd June 2025 from 5 pm, an informal get-together will take place, providing an opportunity for networking in a relaxed atmosphere. A basic selection of drinks will be provided, but attendees are kindly asked to bring their own drinks and food.
- Forum: On the morning of 3rd June 2025 from 8:30 am, the third forum of the Young Scientists Network will begin. After two keynote presentations on relevant topics, participants will have the chance to present scientific works, such as bachelor’s and master’s theses or other projects, in a poster session. After the award ceremony, the forum will end at 12:00 pm.

Get-together on 2 June 2025: St. Johannspark, Basel; distinctive feature is a neon-yellow cap.
Due to the rain, we will meet in the Markthalle (https://altemarkthalle.ch/), which is located near the Basel SBB train station. We will be inside the Markthalle on the 1st upper floor in the “Wohnzimmer / HausBAR”.

Travel information: The campus is best reached from the city of Basel via S-Bahn (stop: Muttenz Bahnhof + 5 min walk). The FHNW Campus Muttenz also has its own bus stop (bus stop: Muttenz, Fachhochschule). You can find the connections in the SBB online timetable (https://www.sbb.ch/de).

The registration process consists of two steps:
- First, register as a user in ConfTool.
- Then, proceed with the event registration.
You can choose either the Young Professionals Network (Forum), or Conference + Forum.
Poster Presentation and Prizes
Contributions to the poster session for the forum can be submitted via ConfTool after registration, up until 1 April 2025. The poster should be prepared in A0 portrait format and uploaded as a document (.jpg | .jpeg | .png | .pdf). Please also bring the printed poster in A0 format to the event in June.
The best poster will be awarded a free one-year membership in either DGPF, OVG, or SGPF, along with a sustainable stainless steel bottle.
