Photogrammetrie -Fernerkundung -
Geoinformation
The German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and
Geoinformation (DGPF) had
published the journal
Bildmessung und Luftbildwesen (BuL) since 1926,
thus the oldest photogrammetric journal worldwide.
It was renamed into
Zeitschrift für Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung (ZPF) in 1990 and was
published until 1996 as the official journal of DGPF by Herbert
Wichmann Verlag.
Since 1997 the official journal of the DGPF is Photogrammetrie –
Fernerkundung – Geoinformation (PFG).
It is published
yearly with 6 issues by Schweizerbart'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung Stuttgart.
The scope of the journal PFG comprises research, development, and
applications in the areas
photogrammetry, aerial image interpretation,
remote sensing, image processing,
geoinformation systems (GIS) and
similar areas. PFG keeps the reader informed by means
of reports about
national and international events, book reviews, as well as by
information
about university education and the profession. All articles
are reviewed by three anonymous
reviewers before acceptance.
- PFG is indexed in the Science Citation Index
